The Greater
Cornwall Chamber of Commerce (previously known
as the Cornwall Business Association, Inc.) was founded in the early
Twentieth Century. Although the exact date is not known, according
to the amended By-Laws of December 10, 1928, the Cornwall Business
Men's Association, as it was originally named, was alive and well
with meetings on the second Monday of each month."
On December 8, 1952, the Cornwall Business
Men's Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation.
In 1984 the Cornwall Business Men's Association, Inc. amended the
certification of incorporation for purposes of a name change to
the Cornwall Business Association, Inc. Although the name has certainly
changed, the purpose of the Association remains constant.
